#LabalabaReview: Turmeric for Teeth Whitening?

Sugars, there's nothing one wouldn't see on the internet.

I was on my own jejely checking Instagram when I stumbled on a page showing Farah Dhukai (an amazing skin care and makeup expert on Instagram/youtube) with golden teeth. The first thing that came to my mind was "She got grills?" abi what's that thing rappers replace their teeth with.

I had to go on her page to confirm she really did post that up. Lo and Behold, it was her. Hmnnnn, I checked if I had the ingredients she used at home, it was there. What's the harm, let's try it out and see how well this works. I am used to my Lemon Teeth Whitening Mix. Something new and different won't hurt.

Hmmnnn...

Let me just warn you people! It;s not everything you see you must tryyyyyyyy ohhhhhhhhhhhhh...."Aboro la n so fun omo lu abi" I am not even sure I spelt that right but what I am trying to say here is the "A word is enough for the wise"

This is by far, I mean I have tried a lot of stuffs on myself in this life but this one is by farrrrrrrr the grossest thing I have used on myself. I mean, few hours later, I was still thinking to myself "Did you really do that?"

I really can't tell the difference, though -If it whitened my teeth or not. I should probably have someone with brown or slightly colored teeth try it out so we can tell if there's a major change. I know for one that I am so not doing this again.

Lai Lai! I am sticking to Turmeric for skin/hair and adding it as a spice for cooking (which in fact I think was the real plan for Turmeric)

I'd let you guys be the judge. Can you spot any difference?

Ingredients Used
  1. Turmeric
  2. Coconut Oil
  3. ToothBrush

Procedure
  1. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil in a bowl.
  2. Add a teaspoon full of Turmeric to it. It's better to start off in small quantities then build it up by adding more turmeric ONLY if it is needed.

As you see from the picture above, the consistency of the mix looks quick thick. It's not advisable to let it be too watery as it will run down the toothbrush easily.

Here's my teeth BEFORE the mix went in.

I transferred the mix from the bowl to my toothbrush.

Here we go!

Wait for about 5- 10 mins.

Rinse out with water, brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste to clean off the stain from the Turmeric and follow up with your mouthwash.

There you have the final look. :D

Different?

Same?

In between?

Like I said earlier I won't be doing this on myself anymore, the taste of this Turmeric isn't exactly nice and it did stain my tongue, I had to take time out to clean that out.

But yeah, glad I tried it. At least I know I will not be going back to it.

If you want to try it, please let me know how it goes.

All the best!

With Love,

#PurpleLabalabaKisses
